Latest planetary geomagnetic activity
Flight note: A high Kp reading can indicate increased geomagnetic disturbance that may affect GNSS positioning and compass reliability. If Kp is elevated enough to raise a safety concern for reliable positioning or compass performance, we will not fly. Kp is one input only; the pilot assesses the aircraft, location, alerts, and all operating conditions.
Environment Canada station observations are updated periodically (often hourly). NOAA publishes planetary Kp in 3-hour intervals; actual update timing can vary.
